Terms and Conditions
Payment
​
Payment is to be made within 5 working days of the Invoice Date. Payments are to be made by BACS, Cash or Cheque. There will be a charge of £10 per day for where payment is delayed without prior discussion.
Mileage is added for distances further than 10 miles, round trip, from EX5 3DH to the address at which your child will be seen. Additional mileage is charged at a rate of 45p a mile. An additional charge of £65 will be applicable when travel time exceeds 45 minutes (round trip) as estimated on Google Maps.

Private Medical Insurance
​
Some families wish to use private medical insurance to pay for some or all of the services received. It is the families responsibility to make this claim to their insurers. Spectrum Sensory Therapies are unable to process claims directly to insurance companies.

Cancellation
​
It is understood that families may need to cancel an appointment due to illness or unforeseen circumstances. Please cancel appointments at least 1 working day in advance to avoid any charge.

An allowance of one late cancellation (under 24 hours) is allowed per term without charge. Further late cancellations will result in a charge of 100% of the session fee for every missed appointment. Where no prior notice is given families will be charged for 100% of the session fee..
Should the therapist have to cancel, an alternative date will be arranged as soon as possible.

Referral
​
Families can make referrals to the service and are asked to contact Spectrum Sensory Therapies directly to discuss this.

Information Sharing
​
With your prior consent, information about your child’s needs will be shared with other professionals, such as education staff, to ensure the best outcome for your child. This information may include assessment findings and recommendations. You need to be aware that if any information is disclosed in the session that suggests that the client or any other person (adult or child) is being harmed or could be at risk of harm, this information will be discussed with the Safeguarding Authority, and your permission does not have to be sought.

Professional Memberships
​
The Therapist is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The Therapist has a fully enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and is registered with the Update Service and Information Commissioner’s Office.

Consent
​
Before an initial assessment, families are asked to confirm that they have understood and agree to the terms and conditions. This will also include information regarding consent to treatment and sharing of information.

These terms are subject to review. where revisions are made, updated terms and conditions will be published and sent directly to families for agreement. Failure to agree to the terms and conditions set out will result in the discontinuation of services.
